ORGANIC SANITIZER 5% is used in the food and beverage processing industry, in industrial laundries, and in the treatment of cooling water, process and waste water. Also, primary uses are for slime and biofouling control in the pulp & paper industry, dispersed pigments and coatings industries are also included. Peroxyacetic acid solutions are also used for disinfection in human and veterinary applications including hospitals. Use dilution for equipment sanitation (no rinse necessary) is 1-1.5 ounces per 5 gallons of water. Food contact is allowed by the FDA without a potable water rinse in accordance with 21 CFR 173.315.
Organic Sanitizer 5% has a high oxidation potential and is very reactive. It exhibits excellent bactericidal and fungicidal activity against a wide range of microorganisms in cold or warm water. In most cases, potable water rinsing is not necessary. It will degrade to oxygen, water, and carbon.
Organic Sanitizer 5% is an equilibrium mixture of peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, acetic acid, proprietary ingredients, and water.
Organic Sanitizer 5% container must be stored in an upright position. The storage area should be well ventilated and shaded from sunlight as well as protected from sources of radiant heat. Contamination of the product, especially heavy metal ion and alkali, must be avoided.
At least one year without notable losses of active oxygen if stored properly.
