Features and Benefits
Melt Down removes hard water scale, beer stone, milk stone, corrosion and other hard deposits from pipelines, pasteurizers, evaporators, vats, tanks, coolers, and other stainless steel equipment normally found in food processing plants.
Manual Cleaning: Use two fluid ounces of Melt Down per gallon of warm water (100 to 120°F)
Brew Kettles: Use 1.5 quarts per 100 gallons for 30 to 60 minutes at 170°F.
Evaporators: (Milk, whey, juices): Use two quarts per 100 gallons at 180°F for 60 minutes.
The quantity of Melt Down may vary depending on the amount of soil load to be removed.
After cleaning, rinse with potable water.
Pipe Lines: Use one pint per 75 gallons at 160°F for 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with potable water.

Contains strong mineral acids. Wear chemical goggles, rubber apron and rubber boots when using this product.
Eyes: Flush immediately with copious amounts of tap water for a minimum of 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses if worn. Take exposed individual to a health care professional, preferably an ophthalmologist, for further evaluation.
External: In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of clean running water for at least 15 minutes, while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. If burn or irritation occurs, call a physician.
Internal: If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Get medical attention immediately. If victim is conscious, give plenty of water to drink. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
